Hey Vegas Lovers, we know times are STILL tight, but if you’re
planning an Income Tax Return Vacay to our lovely city but still on a tight
budget check out these suggestions for free, cheap and fun stuff to do in
Vegas. And isn’t free, cheap and fun what Vegas is all about!
Of course, we at Antiquities feel we should be on the list.
Antiquities is a veritable museum of Americana nostalgia and celebrity memorabilia.
Owner Toby Stoffa has been in the biz for decades and hers is one of the largest collections of rare antiques, celebrity
autographs and historical memorabilia in the world – all in 3,400 square-foot space of wonder within the luxurious Caesars
Palace Forum Shops.
Where else can you see an official Civil War uniform next to
a signed True Blood poster? Don’t you want to tell your friends you were thiiiiis
close to Marilyn Monroe’s scarf? Or that you touched a refurbished ’57 Chevy made
into a couch and met an honest-to-goodness singing Elvis?!
Seriously, check us out on Yelp for more info and come visit Antiquities and spend an hour out of
the casinos and heat (or wind, or cold) exploring Stoffa’s treasure trove of
everything-you’ve-always-wanted. Oh, and about that budget… no worries, we have
postcards for $1!
Ok, we promised some other insider tips for Vegas on a
budget so here ya go:
After checking out Antiquities, head to the other end of the
Forum Shops to watch the fountains come to life in front of the Cheesecake Factory. Every hour on the hour!
For great shopping head north of the Strip to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets – great stores at great prices
Get around town for less with the shuttle
Score ½ price tickets for shows the day of
Downtown Vegas has enough free entertainment with the largest
LED light show, the cheap zip line and people watching to spend a whole day.
Plus, the local haunts down there are great for non-casino nightlife with true
Las Vegans!
Of course, nothing, I mean nothing, beats the beauty and
elegance of the dancing water show of the Bellagio lake. Très romantique!
For more tips check out Las Vegas’ visitors site and the Las Vegas Insider.
Remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, but
hopefully some of your money can stay in your wallet.
